ABOUT LIA ELISE
Lia Elise, is an emerging 20-year old singer/songwriter/recording artist who is releasing her debut single 'Same Old Story' on Thursday 23rd June 2022.
Born in Cape Town, South Africa, Lia Elise has always known that being a singer was her destined path.
Starting singing at the age of six, she continued to be classically trained for the next 10 years. At this time, she also began playing the piano at age 6 and completed her grade 8 piano exam in 2019.
Although being classically trained was a great foundation, Lia felt that she wanted to branch out and attempt different genres so she eventually left traditional school to complete her Grade 12 online so she could fully focus on her music as a career.
Performing at multiple events from the age of 14, Lia Elise has found her niche in Jazz, contemporary ballads and Soul.
She has also had the opportunity to perform along artists such as Ard Matthews, Zolani Mahola and GoodLuck.
After finishing school, Lia left for London in 2020 to study a Popular Music Performance degree at BIMM London, where she completed her first semester. However, COVID-19 interrupted her studies, so she returned home to South Africa to begin afresh.
During the course of the past two years, Lia has been focusing on song-writing, finding her sound, and venturing into the recording world.
She has recently performed live with two sold out shows at Café Roux in Noordhoek.
Lia Elise has managed to solidify her musicality and what she wants to display to listeners, with her debut single 'Same Old Story'.
